Enhancement of the Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Polypropylene and Nylon 6.6 Composite Blends

The mechanical and thermal properties of nylon 6.6 on polypropylene (PP) blends were investigated. Five weight percentages 6.6, 1 wt%—5 wt%, blended with PP by an injection molding process to produce PP/nylon blends. impact the mixture was investigated performing a three-point bend test determine flexural strength hardness using nanoindentation. Both differential scanning calorimetry thermogravimetric analysis used study mixture. Chemical morphological testing performed Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy electron microscope tests. Mechanical revealed improved strength, modulus, 2 wt% blend showed elastic tensile, yield stress enhancement. TGA variable results resistance for 3 4 blends, whereas there no effect reduced 5 DSC influence melting temperature SEM images homogeneous between which substantiated interfacial adhesion verified FTIR.
